It was a quiet weekend for the NLL, and a quiet one for the NLL rookie class of 2025.Â
Rush forward Brock Haley led all rookies with 5 points on 2 goals and 3 assists. Everyone on the Rush was getting into the action as they scored 17 goals on the Colorado Mammoth, including fellow rookie Josh Zawada who added an assist in the contest.
His efforts earned him NLL Rookie of the Week honours.

Haley is now up to 40 points on 16 goals and 24 assists. He is just ahead of Vegas forward Adam Poitras, who is out with injury. Haley and Poitras were the two leaders of the 2022 Minto Cup Champion Whitby Warriors.
Also having a big week was Halifax forward Mike Robinson, who added another three assists, bringing his yearly total to 42 points. While Dyson Williams and Brennan O’Neill figure to take two of the spots, Robinson is certainly in contention for all-rookie team at the end of the season.

Rochester’s Graydon Hogg had another good outing for the Knighthawks, recording 2 assists in their loss win over the Seals, while O’Neill added a goal and an assist for the Wings. Georgia’s Kaleb Benedict was the only other rookie besides Haley to score twice, finishing with 2 goals for the Swarm.
Ottawa’s Jake Stevens and Georgia’s Toron Eccleston both finished with an assist in their respective wins.
Rush faceoff man Jake Naso had another good week at the dot, winning 28 of 34 faceoffs and picking up 11 loose balls of his own to lead both categories among rookies. Mike Sisselberger won 13 of 31 draws for Rochester and Alec Stathakis won 11 of 29 for the Vancouver Warriors.
Benedict led the caused turnover column for the class with two, while Stevens, Dustyn Birkhof, and Conner Cook all added a CT as well. Birkhof also registered his first career fight, becoming at least the third rookie to fight this season. Vegas’ Jackson Webster and San Diego’s Trent DiCicco fought each other in March.
